These Terms & Conditions set out the rules for buying and using PIKA products. They apply alongside our Terms of Sale, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy. Please read the safety section carefully — riding an electric scooter carries real risks.
Who we are
PIKA Escooters is a brand operated by DAHA Groups Limited (managing Pika Electric Scooters Limited), based at 453 S Spring Street, Ste 400, Los Angeles, CA 90013. We sell electric scooters; we are a seller, not the original manufacturer of the underlying hardware platform.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to buy from us and to operate our scooters. PIKA products are intended for adult use and are not toys.
Rider safety and responsibility
By purchasing and riding a PIKA scooter, you accept the following responsibilities:
- Always wear a properly fitted helmet, and consider additional protective gear.
- Know and obey all applicable federal, state, and local laws before riding. Rules for electric scooters — including where they may be ridden, speed limits, licensing, registration, insurance, and minimum age — vary by city and state and are your responsibility to follow.
- Do not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and do not use a phone or headphones in a way that distracts you.
- Ride within your ability, obey traffic signals, yield to pedestrians, and use lights at night.
- Inspect and maintain your scooter — including checking bolts, folding hardware, brakes, and tire pressure — before riding.
- Do not exceed the maximum rider weight or carry passengers.
Assumption of risk
Riding an electric scooter involves inherent risks, including the risk of serious injury or death. You ride at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PIKA is not responsible for injury, damage, or loss resulting from the use, misuse, or inability to use our products, or from your failure to follow safety instructions and local laws.
Product use
Use each product only for its intended purpose and in accordance with the owner's manual. Unauthorized modifications, repairs, or use of non-PIKA parts may be unsafe and will void your warranty.
Communications and marketing
By providing your email or phone number, you agree that we may contact you about your order. If you opt in to marketing emails or texts, you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by replying STOP to texts. Message and data rates may apply.
Intellectual property
All content on pikaescooters.com — text, logos, images, and design — is owned by or licensed to PIKA and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Except for the express warranty we provide, products are sold "as is" to the extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PIKA's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant product, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold PIKA harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these terms, your misuse of a product, or your breach of any law while operating a scooter.
Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
Changes
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version posted on our site at the time of your order applies to that order.
